NORTH LA QUINTA LANDSCAPE RENOVATION FOR ACACIA NEIGHBORHOOD

The City of La Quinta will be removing existing turf, trees, and landscaping, and replacing with “Desert Efficient Landscape” on Miles Avenue between La Quinta Del Oro and North Harland Drive beginning the week of November 13th through March 2018.

The project will require daytime closures of the adjacent right lane on Miles Avenue with intermittent right lane closures on Seeley Drive and North Harland Drive.

As part of the approved 2017/18 Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Council prioritized the renovation of the public landscape in north La Quinta over the next four years, utilizing Measure G funds. The improvements will feature the Desert Oasis landscape palette, which uses hardscape textures with minimal planting to create an aesthetically pleasing environment with lower installation, long-term maintenance, and water costs.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate everyone's patience as we continue to beautify our City.

The project will begin in the channel on November 13, 2017 and continue through Wednesday November 22, 2017. No work will occur on Thanksgiving (11/23 & 11/24), resuming on Monday 11/27/17 on Roudel Lane, with drainage modifications anticipated to take approximately 1 week.
