DIGITAL APPLICATIONS FOR FITNESS

The City of La Quinta and the Wellness Center encourages fitness members and the La Quinta community to continue with your fitness journey and setting goals for health and wellness. TechnoGym has provided a new Train at Home initiative to support fitness members effected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Train at Home provides daily exercise content, delivered through the My Wellness applications, allowing us to remain engaged with our members. You may also track your outdoor activity using the outdoor activity tracking through the app.

TechnoGym has included the Workout of the Day feature. Each day, you will find a different customized workout training program. You may select from easy, medium, and pro workouts depending on your fitness level.

No matter what your goal, there is an app to guide you. The following is a list of top 5 fitness fee-based applications. These applications do offer limited free content and can be downloaded on the Apple App Store for iOS devices or Google Play for Android devices.

Keelo - This app will help you find more than 400 short HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) and strength workouts. 

Nike Training Club - Nike doesn't just make gear for you to train in - the company's app also gives you one of the best programs to follow along for training, no matter your fitness level.

Fitbod - Have trouble designing your strength training program? This app has a specially designed system to handle that problem with an individualized plan. *This app is coming soon to Android devices.

Jefit - Jefit is a workout tracking app that boasts over 7 million users, more than 70 curated programs, and 3,800 community programs, so you will have a ton of training opportunities to choose from.

Adidas Running App Runtastic - Formerly Runtastic, this app gives you the chance to take on running training plans with help from an audio Voice Coach, along with a cheering feature to help motivate you to get through even the toughest training session.

Fitness Buddy - You may also try Fitness Buddy workout log. Fitness buddy offers hundreds of gym & home workouts, clear instructions and videos for all exercises, meal plans and recipes (Keto, Paleo, Vegan, etc.) and training plans created by top personal trainers.
