In observance of Veterans Day, City Offices Will Be Closed Tuesday November 11^th. Inspections scheduled after 4:00 PM Monday the 10th will be Performed Thursday the 13^th. Please plan accordingly for any related business that may need to be addressed during this time frame.

Per La Quinta Municipal Code Section 6.08.050, Veterans Day is a Holiday and Disturbances by Construction Noises is Prohibited. It is a nuisance and it is unlawful, for any person to be engaged or employed, or for any person to cause any other person to be engaged or employed, in any work of construction, erection, alteration, repair, addition to, or improvement to realty. 

The Building Division is responsible for the administration and enforcement of building codes and ordinances for construction, use and occupancy within the City of La Quinta. This is accomplished through implementation of local, state and federal building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical codes. Building handles plan checks, the issuance of permits and continuous inspections of new construction, remodels, additions and demolition to existing residential and commercial structures located within the city.
