The Fritz Burns Pool is located on the corner of Avenida Bermudas and Avenue 52 in La Quinta.

COLD WATER  POOL PROGRAMMING FROM NOVEMBER 2019 - JANUARY 2020 

 

LAP SWIM

Competition Lanes are open and available for guests to swim laps for a set amount of time. Benefits of lap swim are you control your own pace while getting a full body workout.

Days & Times: Mondays - Thursdays
8:00am – 10:00am
4:00pm – 6:00pm

Fees: Adults (18 years and older) $3.00  
Wetsuits welcome

Please remember proper swim attire is required. Swim shirts, hat & sunglasses are recommended and when using sun screen, please apply at least 20 minutes before entering the pool.  Don't forget to bring a towel, stay hydrated and have FUN!!


ACTIVITIES ON THE DECK

 Beginning Yoga

A yoga class for those newer to yoga or those wanting a basic flow class. This class introduces foundational yoga postures, teaches you how to breath and helps you feel more comfortable in the yoga practice. Items you will need to bring with you - a yoga mat, towel, and water. 

Ages: 18 Years Old and Over

                                                                          Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
                                                                          Times:  4:00pm – 4:45pm
                                                                           Fees: $40 per session; $10 drop-in fee

 

Land Fit

Is meant for those looking to add a workout, build strength, and improve endurance for a fun-filled calorie burn. Classes can be scaled or modified to any person's level of fitness. The best part is that resistance can be added for anyone who feels that they are ready for the next level, or it can be toned down for an active rest day. Workout is ideal for those who are looking to break a sweat, tone the body, and burn some extra calories – without a lot of joint-jarring, high impact moves. Items you will need to bring with you - a yoga mat, towel, and water.

Ages: 18 Years Old and Over 

                  Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
         Times:  5:00pm – 5:45pm
                              Fees: $40 per session; $10 drop-in fee

                  Days:  Tuesdays & Thursdays
          Times:  9:00am – 9:45am
                                Fees: $40 per session; $10 drop-in fee

 

Chair Fitness

Places focus on body posture and balance while in a seated or supported standing position. Chair fitness can improve flexibility, strengthen body awareness, and helps you focus on meditation and relaxation. Items to bring with you – water and 2 dumbbells appropriate to your fitness level.  

Ages: 18 Years Old and Over

                     Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays 
              Times:  8:00am – 8:45am
                                    Fees: $40 per session; $10 drop-in fee

Arthritis Therapy

The slow controlled movements taught in class focus on specific exercises to improve strength and power around ankles, knees and hip joints along with stretching to strengthen your muscles, while improving your coordination, balance and flexibility. It can be adapted depending on skill of individual participant. Items you will need to bring with you - a yoga mat, towel, and water

 Ages: 18 Years Old and Over

                  Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
            Times:  4:00pm – 4:45pm
                                 Fees: $40 per session; $10 drop-in fee

 

Intermediate Yoga

This class will deepen and enhance flexibility at the core of your body- specifically the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Using long-held poses, this is a class that moves at a slower pace. This class is great for newer students to advance, also great for athletes. Items you will need to bring with you - a yoga mat, towel, and water.

Ages: 18 Years Old and Over

                      Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
               Times:  5:00pm – 5:45pm
                                    Fees: $40 per session; $10 drop-in fee
